In His Words

I feel that informed patients are always the easiest patients to work with. Having a clear understanding of the disease process, the possible treatment options, the risk and benefits are essential in getting a patient to fully participate in the treatment plan and in having realistic expectations for improvement. I believe that the Internet has and most likely will continue to serve as a tool that improves the access to information and awareness leading to better communication between physicians and their patients. The most satisfying aspect of being a physician has always been the appreciation exhibited by patients after a successful treatment program, especially when children are the patients.

The Internet has proven to be an immensely useful tool to educate patients and serve as an information and research medium for physicians.
