Having worked in various areas of social work has provided Pe-I Desrosiers with the experience to help people face their fears and to move on with their lives. Her past experiences include: healthcare program planner analyst, caseworker for children services, providing counseling and conducting various trainings on HIV/AIDS, troubled teens, substance abuse issues, sexual abuse and family preservation. Pe-I is a certified HIV counselor in Pre-Test and Post-Test counseling. She Co-wrote and developed a Curriculum on The Role of Culture in Child Welfare, provided Technical Assistance to service organization in working with diverse populations and HIV-infected and affected clients. She is experienced in case management, crisis intervention, removals, and placements.

Through use of the Internet I feel that patients will be more informed about their options. Patients have the right to make informed decisions regarding their choices; effective communication ensures that and allowing me to better understand their needs. Communication is a two way street, we have to understand what our patients want before we can provide it.
