SurgeryConcerns.com is a medical information and consultation website.  We are a privately owned company whose aim is to educate people about surgical procedures, various diseases, and health maintenance.  Our approach is to answer questions which may be unclear and give information to promote healthy living. We emphasize a holistic approach to health preservation.

Q. Should I purchase a membership or a consultation?

A. If you do not have an individual question, and you are only looking for general health and medical information, we recommend purchasing a membership.

If you have an individual question regarding a friend, family member, or your personal health, we recommend you purchase both a membership and consultation. Join as a member first, and then login to the members area to purchase your consultation at the member discounted rate. The 10% discount members receive on consultation purchases more than covers the cost of your first month membership!

Q. Is your site secure? I am concerned about sending my credit card and other personal information over the internet.

A. Yes, we are on a secure server. We use 128bit Secure Socket Layer Certificate from EnTrust.net to provide a secure connection between your browser and our website. Your information is encrypted when it's sent over the internet.

Q. If your membership is free, why do you change a dollar for processing?

A. The $1.00 processing fee covers the cost of the credit card processing setup for your membership. After your 30 day trial you will be billed for your membership at $4.95/month.

A. Yes, there are many sites on the internet that provide free information. However, this information is often difficult to find, spread out over many sites, not from professional and trusted sources, incomplete, inaccurate. At SurgeryConcerns.com, we do our best to provide you with high quality content reviewed by our health care professionals.

Q. How do I become a member?

A. Click on the join button located below the SurgeryConcerns.com logo. You must have a major credit card handy.  Select one of the three options, join for one month,  a quarterly membership, or a  six month membership.  You will then be prompted to fill out a subscription form and your credit card information

Q. What are the benefits of a SurgeryConcerns.com Membership?

A. As a member of SurgeryConcerns.com you will have access to various types of medical information as well as being part of a health conscious community. We offer several information sources.

Bariatric Surgery

1.  Our database of surgical procedures that contains media content with video and audio presentations.  We are linked to numerous medical websites and news feeds that provide daily medical news and information. Members also have access to exclusive articles written by the SurgeryConcerns.com staff of health professionals.     

2.  The forum/message board area is where people can exchange ideas and experiences regarding their health. The forum is also used by the consultants to entice conversation among members that will carry on to the chat room. There is a forum pertaining to each consultant's field of practice and each one is moderated by one of the consultants.  

3.  We provide chat rooms giving members the opportunity to interact in real time with one another. Each month we plan to have scheduled discussions, hosted by our consultants.

4.  Members save 10% on email and phone consultations.

CONSULTATIONS

Q. What is the difference between an email an a phone consultation?

A. Email consultations are done through email only and should be used if you have a specific question?
For example: "What are the symptoms of bronchitis?"
    
Phone consultations are done over one on one over the phone. They can be used if you want to discuss different medical options concerning your health, to better understand a certain procedure, what could the affects be after having certain surgery or taking a particular medication.
For example: "What are my options for birth control? How does each one work and what are their side effects if any?"

Q. How do I purchase a consultation?

A. Click on the Consultation button located below the SurgeryConcerns.com logo, you must have major credit card in order to purchase a consultation.  Select either a phone or email consultation.  You will then be prompted to a fill out a purchase and credit card information form.

Once your purchase has been completed you will be directed to a medical questionnaire.  The questionnaire is used by our consultants to evaluate your health, understand your current health condition and to personalize your questions; please fill out completely. At the end of the questionnaire there is a text box, where you will write your question(s). Please remember our Consultants will only answer question pertaining to one topic.

Q. Who are the consultants, and how are they qualified?

A. Our consultants are certified and licensed health professionals who have had a minimum of 3 years experience in their field of healthcare. For more information on our consultants you can check there profiles by clicking HERE.

Q. Are your healthcare professionals licensed to practice in all states?

A. Our consultants do not practice medicine through this website. The information contained on this site and in private consultations is for educational and informational purposes only. Q. How long does it take to receive my consultation?

A. If you purchased an email consultation you will receive a response to your consultation within 48 hours from your purchase.
    If you purchased a phone consultation you will receive an email within 48 hours from your purchase, in regards to scheduling a time that is convenient for you to speak with one of our consultants.

Q. What happens if I do not receive my consultation within 48 hours?

A. We will notify you if are unable to process your order within the 48 hours, and offer a full refund or you may decide to allow us additional time to process your order. If we can not answer your question we will refund your order.


Note: Occasionally, there may have been a problem with your submission. We will notify you if there is a problem with your consultation request, and we will request you to resubmit your consultation questionnaire. You will then receive your consultation within 48 hours of the re-submission.


Q. Can I ask more than one question in my consultation?

A. During an email consultation, no, but during a phone consultation, yes.

A. Yes, we would love to here your opinions or comments on the service that your received.


Q. Do I get to follow up consultation?

A. In order to receive a follow-up consultation you must purchase an additional consultation.

Be sure to fill out the consultation form completely to provide your consultant all the information to accurately answer your question without requiring additional information or an additional consultation.


Q. What information do I need in order to fill out my medical questionnaire?

A. Any information that would help our consultants answer your question(s) completely.   At SurgeryConcerns.com, we want to give you the most accurate information that we can provide; and we can only do that if you provide us with as detailed information as possible about your health.


Q. Do I need to fill out the medical questionnaire every time I purchase a consultation?

A. No, simply add any new or changed information since your last visit.  All of your
health information and past consultations are kept on file.


Q. What if my question wasn't answered during my consultation?

A. If you feel that your consultation question was not properly answered send us an email, with your name, email address.  We will review your consultation.

Remember, you must provide us all relevant information to your question to ensure our consultants can accurately provide your answer.
